Character classes (builds) in Realm Royale Realm Royale Guide, Tips

Last update: 12 July 2018

Another thing that distinguishes Realm Royale from other games of this type is the character class system. Each class offers different abilities and, consequently, different style of play. All character classes are equipped with four abilities and one class weapon. In this chapter you will learn everything about the character classes and what tactics can be used for each of them.

Warrior. How to play this class?

The warrior is the first class in Realm Royale, and at the same time the most popular one due to his range of active and passive abilities. The passive skill of the warrior is health regeneration (5 points per second). This will eliminate the need for consuming large amounts of health potions, and paired with the legendary breastplate and a active healing skill, you will be able to soak up much more damage than the other classes.

Taking into account the warrior's active abilities, there is one conclusion to be drawn - it's a class for players who like direct contact with the opponent. Heroic Leap and Charge will help you achieve it. With them you will be able to quickly approach an opponent or disengage in a crisis situation. A warrior is the most mobile character in the game, which distinguishes him from other classes and you should use it for aggressive play.

Playing as a warrior, you have to remember that the hunter, the mage, and the assassin are long-distance characters, and your task is to cover that distance as soon as possible. Bridge the gap with your high mobility, combine it a legendary class weapon (throwing axe), and you'll sow death and destruction in the ranks of your enemies.

Warrior abilities

  1. Heroic Leap - the basic ability which enables your character to jump over a long distance. The basic version (white) has a 16 second cooldown and deals 375 damage when in contact with an enemy. The legendary version (orange) has a 10 second cooldown and deals up to 600 damage when in contact with an enemy.
  2. Charge - charge is an active ability which, when used, quickly reduces the distance between you and the target. In addition, it deals damage to enemies along the way. The regular version (white) has 11 second cooldown and deals 400 damage, while the legendary (orange) version only 5 second. Charge should be your main ability when you play as a warrior.
  3. Flask of Healing - the ability to throw a potion that cures you and your allies. The ordinary version (white) has 12 second cooldown and restores 10 health points frame, while the legendary version restores as many as 19 HP points. This skill should be included in your inventory as a replacement for the Shielding Potion.
  4. Shielding Potion - ability to throw a buff in the form of a shield that absorbs damage. This skill is AoE and, as in the case of Flask of Healing, enables you to buff the whole team. The ordinary version (white) has a cooldown of 19 seconds and creates a 350-point shield, while the legendary version (orange) reduces the cooldown to 10 seconds and offers a 500-point shield. This skill should be the second main skill (next to Charge) when playing as a warrior.
  5. Net Shot - an ability that deals 200 damage and slows enemies by 20% (white) when thrown against an enemy. The legendary version (orange) slows down by up to 80% and cools down 6 seconds faster than the regular version.

Warrior class weapon:

  1. Throwing Axe - a warrior's axe is a very dangerous weapon that should find its place in your equipment. This monster deals 800 damage and wreaks havoc in close range (and in close range only). Fighting with this weapon at long range is virtually impossible because of the travel time and bullet drop mechanics (see the Combat and shooting mechanics page for more information). So try to keep this in mind when you play as a warrior.

Engineer. How to play this class?

The engineer is the second class to specialize in close range battles. His class weapon is perfect for this, and his active abilities support his defensive style of play. Due to the fact that this class has the worst class ability of all (the least mobile one), it is not recommended to those who prefer aggressive play. Any other character can escape the engineer, and if this happens in an undeveloped area, you will be forced to fight at long range. The passive ability of an engineer is very similar to that of the warrior. This time, however, instead of regenerating health, he regenerates his shields (5 points per second).

The engineer excels in closed areas and indoors, i.e. in various types of buildings. With the Barricade ability, you can deal with incoming damage and even destroy your enemies with your legendary class weapon. In addition, the Fire Bomb, ability to flood a small area with fire, will cover the entire floor when used in a room. Healing an engineer is done with a Healing Totem. It's a powerful ability that will help you tilt the scales of battle to your advantage.

When playing as an engineer, you must remember that his class weapon is only suitable for short range. Use a rifle as a side weapon and you won't be surprised by any situation. In addition, mobility is your weak point, so try to fight indoors and closed spaces.

Engineer abilities:

  1. Thrust - a class ability that shoots your character into the air after using it. This tool is mainly suitable for scaling hills, not for covering distance, as in the case of a warrior. The legendary version cools down after 5 seconds and the ordinary version after as many as 8 seconds.
  2. Fire Bomb - an excellent active skill. After use, you throw a grenade that explodes when it contacts a surface, leaving a small lake of fire. It deals percentage-based damage. The legendary version deals 6% of damage per frame, and the regular only 3% per frame. Additionally, the cooldown of the legendary version is 10 seconds, and of the ordinary version - as many as 16 seconds. Fire Bomb can be used as a substitute for the totem. If you want to deal more damage, use Fire Bomb.
  3. Barricade - a barricade is an active ability that should be your main skill. When the barricade is set, it blocks damage if it stands between you and the enemy. You can shoot through it, which makes her one of the best skills in the game. It's cooldown in 16 seconds (10 seconds in the legendary version) and lasts 4 seconds (10 seconds in the legendary version). However, you must remember that the barricade can be destroyed as it has its own health bar.
  4. Healing Totem - an active skill that heals you and your allies near the totem. Perfect tool for when you don't have any healing potions, which makes it especially useful in the initial phase of the match. The ordinary version cools down in 20 seconds, but after getting the legendary version cooldown time decreases significantly (to 8 seconds). Additionally, the regular version heals 10 points per frame, and the legendary version as much as 40 points.
  5. Deploy Turret - active ability that enables you to set up a defensive turret. This fragile, weak-hitting design doesn't work very well in the late phase of the game and should only be used if you have neither a barricade or a totem ready.

Engineer class weapon:

  1. Plasma Launcher - dealing 800 damage per shot, it's the engineer's main weapon. Perfect for indoor use because it deals AoE damage. Remember that it will become practically useless in long range battles, because of the two shooting mechanics - travel time and bullet drop (more about them can be found in the chapter on shooting).

The Assassin. How to play it?

The Assassin is a class with the highest skill ceiling in the game (very strong but difficult to master). Because of your skills, you can get out of literally any oppression. Teleport, disappearance, or finally the use of the strongest weapon in the game. All of this makes up a class that is very difficult to defeat in combat. Remember that it is not the assassin's job to directly exchange fire. Its advantage is that you can practically dance during the battle, and the defeated enemy may not even have seen you. High mobility also allows you to escape from any oppression when playing the assassin and even jump into windows so you can ambush your opponents.

The Assassin's passive skill is a quick sprint, and the base weapon is a sniper rifle. Using this gun, you can kill an enemy with a single headshot (up to 2400 damage). Remember, however, that if you miss, you'll have to improvise - reloading takes a long while. Active skills focus on mobility and fooling enemies. You can disappear and freely change position. You can teleport to quickly move around the battlefield, and you can use the drone to see behind walls.

Playing as the assassin, you need to be aware of a few things. Everything is up to you. You cannot take a lot of damage like an engineer or a fighter. You have to dodge and counterattack. Remember not to fight engineers in buildings. Their weapons can nullify nearly all your skills. If that ever happens, use the bling to teleport behind their back. Before they even know what's going on, they'll be a roasted chicken.

Assassin's skills:

  1. Blink - The best class skill in the game. It allows you to "vanish" from the battlefield, teleport behind your enemy's back or even jump through windows above to ambush them. The number of possibilities this class provides is endless. Remember to create a legendary version ASAP. The 4-seconds cooldown will let you do impossible things, with your skill and imagination being the only limits.
  2. Ghost Walk - A skill that lets you avoid all damage. If you're having troubles with survivability think about this one. The legendary version provides immunity for 5 seconds, with a 6-seconds cooldown. Additionally, you will get an increased movement speed when the skill is activated (a 60% boost).
  3. Concussion Bomb - Active ability designed to deal damage. A regular version deals 250 dmg, while legendary even 400. Of course, that's not it. The bomb can be used to switch positions because it launches people into the air upon detonation. You can use it to quickly change positions - of yourself or the enemy. Legendary version's cooldown is 8 seconds. Next, to the Smoke Screen, this should be your main skill.
  4. Sensor Drone - The drone basically a legal cheat. It allows you to see through walls (wallhack), which makes preparing ambushes that much easier. Legendary version lasts 5 seconds, with an 8-seconds cooldown.
  5. Smoke Screen - The best active skill of the Assassin. Makes you invisible - changing position and surprising the enemy will be a mere formality. The duration on legendary is a whopping 8 seconds, with a 9-seconds cooldown. This is a mandatory skill.

Class weapons of the Assassin:

  1. Sniper Rifle - The 1,100-damage sniper rifle is the strongest weapon of the game. One headshot is enough to kill most of your opponents and it should be your main gun. Of course, it isn't that easy, because shooting with a sniper rifle can be problematic. Firstly, it uses the travel time and the bullet drop systems (for more information on the systems, refer to the chapter devoted to that problem), so when fighting on long distances you have to take this into account.

The Mage. How to play it?

The Mage in Realm Royale is the most universal class. It doesn't have any particularly strong or weak sides, so you don't have to bother with any specific strategies. On early stages of a game, the class ability of the mage grants it the best mobility - flying. You can fly over obstacles, into windows. Unlocking active skills soon is very important - especially the Ice Block, which lets you regenerate damage.

The passive skill of the mage provides increased efficiency of potions (+30%). Instead of replenishing 400HP, you will receive 520. The class weapons are neither the easiest to shoot nor the most powerful. The gun that shoots three projectiles at once is good over short distance because of the travel time system (more about that in the chapter on shooting). Try not to use it over long distances and always have an alternative gun ready - such as a rifle.

The mage has one particularly interesting skill - Fireball. It deals an absurd amount of damage, and the legendary version's cooldown is just 4 seconds. Combined with the Explosive Flask, which slows enemies down, it creates a synergy that can't be found anywhere else in the game. With these two skills, you can really win any fight without a single shot.

Mage's skills:

  1. Soar - Class skill allows the character to fly. Thanks to it you can get to the hills or to the windows. The ideal tool for escaping in a crisis situation. The legendary version of the skill has a cooldown of 10 seconds and its duration is less than 5 seconds.
  2. Explosive Flask - Active magic skill. When you throw a potion at an opponent, it slows them down by a certain amount. The legendary version slows the target down by 80% and the cooldown is 6 seconds. In combination with Fireball, it forms a lethal combination.
  3. Fireball - The Mage's active skill deals an absurd amount of damage (even 750 in legendary). It's one of the mandatory skills. The cooldown is 4 seconds and the fireball can even reach enemies behind cover. Use this during close combat.
  4. Ice Block - An active skill that turns you into an ice cube. This gives you immunity and replenishes your health. You should prioritize this skill because it's the only skill supporting you in combat. Legendary stats are 8 sec. dur. with 5 sec. cooldown.
  5. Wall - You can create an impenetrable wall. It doesn't work quite like the engineer's barricade, but it will protect you from receiving damage. Legendary version: duration 9 seconds and 8 seconds cooldown.

Class weapon of the mage:

  1. Stone Spear - Shooting with three projectiles at once, the weapon wreaks havoc on short distances. Aim for the head - two headshots and the client's done, even on full health.

The Hunter. How to play it?

The Hunter is another (after the Assassin) class that has a high skill ceiling (very strong and difficult to play). The skills focus primarily on deceiving enemies. Jumping, becoming invisible and seeing through walls is a similar set to that of the Assassin. The passive skill provides faster reloading and switching weapons. Use it when using the Hunter's legendary weapon - the bow.

Remember that the bow is a totally different weapon than any other class weapon in the game. Only a fully-stretched bow guarantees full damage, and the travel time system (about which you can learn more in the chapter devoted to shooting), means that fighting over a long distance isn't easy. Try to have an alternative weapon for close encounters - a machine gun or something like that.

Hunter plays similarly to the Assassin. This class isn't as agile, and you won't be able to influence the pace of the match that significantly. The main focus here is fighting over a longer distance, so stick to that. Get to elevated vantage points to have good visibility over as large a portion of the battlefield as possible. If you have to fight over a shorter distance, try to utilize your mobility at the ability to disappear.

Hunter's skills:

  1. Dodge Roll - Hunter's class skill. It allows you to perform a flip that covers a short distance. Very good for quick, cover-to-cover movement, with a legendary cooldown of just 2 seconds.
  2. Blast Shot - An active ability that deals damage in exactly the same way as Fireball does. An explosion that deals 560 damage in the legendary version cools down for 6 seconds. The perfect tool in combination with Withdraw.
  3. Flare - An active ability that allows you to see your opponents through the walls. The legendary version reduces the cooldown to 8 seconds and increases the damage area to 220 units.
  4. Withdraw - One of the best skills in the game. When you use it, you jump back and become invisible to your opponents. It is this skill that makes the Hunter so strong and should be your main tool. The legendary version cools down for 8 seconds and lasts for 4 seconds. When invisible, you will be able to fully stretch your bow and, in a good position, deal huge damage to an enemy.
  5. Proximity Mine - A contact mine that deals damage to anyone within its range. Two seconds after a throw, it explodes at a short distance from the opponent and deals ridiculously big damage (up to 800). One of the best positions for the hunter, especially in the early stages of the game.

Hunter's class weapon:

  1. Longbow - The Hunter's bow is a very strong weapon, but also has weak points. Fully stretching it takes precious seconds, and only in this way can you deal the maximum damage (900). Also note that the bow uses travel time (see the Shooting section for more details), so you need to adjust your accuracy when fighting long distances. It is necessary to have an additional weapon, preferably a quick shooter for short distances - a machine gun.
