We'll start off with a longer cut-scene (#1). Once again, you will be dealing with the Flying Dutchman and its undead crew. Get ready, because you will regain full control over Jack's movements very soon. You will have to defend the ship for a little over a minute. Sadly, you will have to spend each second wisely by completing some of the side missions. So... let's get to work.
The first thing on your list should be reaching the left staircase. Destroy the crates, so you'll be able to pick up your first crab pendant (#1). Now start running towards the right edge of the screen. Ignore the monsters for the time being. Use the stairs and destroy new crates. One of these objects will contain a second pendant (#2). You will also have to make sure that these actions won't take too much time. Wait for the monsters to show up here.
You can try and fulfill side goals in other order, however sooner or later you would have to perform a successful combo (#1). Try attacking different monsters, so they won't die, because you're going to need these creatures for the Ole mission. Now you should be standing near the second pendant (#2). Wait for the monsters to attack you and perform Ole moves to send them flying in the air. If you're lucky, you should be able to trick five creatures before the time limit runs out. You could also choose some other spots for the Ole moves. Left side of the ship seems like a good idea, however you would have to collect pendants in a reversed order (starting with the crates on your right).
Once the time limit runs out, a new cut-scene is going to be displayed on your screen. As you've probably suspected, Kraken is going to be summoned. It's a giant octopus (#1). From now on you'll be playing as Will (#2). Let's begin!
Your main objective here will be to concentrate all of your attacks on the tentacles. Kraken will use those to grab one of the crew members (#1). You will have to prevent the octopus from taking the crew member, that is - if you want to fulfill one of the side goals. You should also know that tentacles may appear in the lower section of the screen (#2).
DON'T attack the tentacles unless they're after one of the crew members. Otherwise you would have probably been stunned and you would also lose a lot of health points. You will have to avoid objects that will be thrown at you (#1). Thankfully, there's going to be a shadow on the ground, so you'll know exactly when (and where) to dodge. Once the second time limit runs out, you will be allowed to leave the main deck area (#2).
Once you've reached a new location, you will have to destroy a nearby barrel. It's very important because you will find a third pendant inside the barrel (#1). Head on to your right. Make a stop near the first cannon. As you've probably noticed, Kraken will try to attack you. This is where the second phase of the boss battle will begin (#2).
The objective here is quite simple. You will have to be standing to the left of the first cannon. Your goal is to attack the tentacles of the Kraken (#1). Also, you can't allow the creature to hit you, because the octopus would also grab one of the crew members. As a result, you wouldn't be able to fulfill one of the side goals. You will have to maintain your attacks for about 15 seconds. Your ally will use that time to load the cannon. Once he's finished, head on to the glowing spot.
