Among the many positive reviews, it echoes the statement that the developers have created a very good sequel to the previous installments of Homeworld, which should satisfy both long-time fans of the series and players new to it. The pros include the atmospheric campaign, music, and combat requiring a tactical approach. The amazing gameplay, packed with refined mechanics that are easy to grasp but difficult to master perfectly, is also highlighted.
However, some critics count the cooperative mode of War Games as a con. According to one of the experts, it lacked the best elements of the game itself. Others, in turn, draw attention to the chaos during the battles, as well as to the unengaging plot.
