What is Karsite Grip in BG3? The Biggest Mystery of Patch 5 Still Unexplained
Do you want to learn something more about Karsite Grip in BG3? You are not alone. Many people would like to solve this mystery.
Baldur's Gate 3, despite its very good response among players, is not resting on its laurels. Several months after the game's release, the 5th major patch has already appeared, introducing a number of fixes and balance / gameplay changes. In most cases, those novelties are straightforward or easy to check. However, there is a big mystery. Patch notes mention something called Karsite Grip. If you are interested in what it might be, you're not the only one.
What is the Karsite Grip in Baldur’s Gate 3?
While looking through the latest patch notes for BG3 patch 5, many players were caught off guard by the mention of Karsite Grip. The description of the changes is: Karsite Grip now correctly bounces to additional targets and its visual effects should trigger correctly on distant enemies. It can be found in the Combat and Balance tab.
Unfortunately, despite many inquiries from fans of the game regarding this item, the answer is still not forthcoming. From the mere description of the changes and the fact that the Karsite Grip has been placed in the section about Combat, it can be guessed that it is most probably some kind of ranged weapon, most likely a boomerang (or something similar).
There is also a theory that the Karsite Grip is actually some kind of spell that bounces off enemies. Unfortunately, the chances of this are poor, as looking through the list of spells for each class; Wizard, Ranger, Cleric, Warlock, Paladin, Druid, Monk, Bard or Sorcerer; no such skill is found in any of the classes.
Karsite Grip is a mystery that still has not been solved. When we find out more about this item, expect an update to this news with much more information.
