Sons of the Forest 1.0 Got Release Date; Big Changes are Coming [Update]
We learned the release date of the full version of Sons of the Forest. The game will feature dubbing and numerous improvements.

Update 15 is now available. It introduces quite a few new features, and one of the most important is the ability to issue new commands to Kelvin. He can now be asked to repair structures, sharpen stakes or take care of the camp. In the third case, the companion will repair structures, fill containers and build up started structures. Weapon stands, a firewood rack and an opponent with a weapon attached to his hands have also been introduced.
The full list of changes introduced by patch 15 can be found here. Until now, after each update, a timer appeared in the game's main menu indicating the time until the next major patch. This time in its place appears a countdown to the release of the full version of the game. Its release will take place on February 22, 2024.

Sons of the Forest debuted in early access on Steam on February 23, 2023. In the following months, the game received numerous updates, fixing bugs and introducing new content. However, the most interesting new features are yet to come. For now Endnight has announced the release date of the full version and revealed a very important change concerning one of the characters.
Sons of the Forest 1.0 in February 2024
The developers have announced, that the full version of Sons of the Forest will be released on February 22, 2024. The developer did not reveal too many details about the changes compared to early access build, but did announce that Timmy will be dubbed, and will be voiced by Shawn Ashmore, an actor known, among other things, for his role as Timothy Breaker in Alan Wake 2. Recall that Timmy has already appeared in The Forest, where, however, he was still a child. As announced by the creators, his story and role in the game will be developed.
In addition, numerous improvements and content are to be added to the game, although Endnight Games did not specify details about this. What is known, however, is that the game will continue to receive regular hotfixes after the upcoming update, and after the release of this patch, the developer will focus in particular on working on version 1.0.
This may mean that we will not receive any major update introducing new content until February 23. However, there's always a silver lining, because this will enable Endgnight Games to polish the full version for release.
