We Got Frostpunk 2 Release Date. 11 Bit Studios’ Frosty Game Is Coming Out in Mid-Summer

As announced, the Xbox Partner Preview stream took place yesterday, during which Frostpunk 2, the anticipated sequel to the Polish strategy game from 2018, was featured. The exact release date of the game from 11 bit Studio has been revealed - it will debut on July 25th on PCs. That day it will also be available on PC Game Pass.

The developers also confirmed that Frostpunk 2 will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles "at a later date," although they were still not ready to announce it. When this happens, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will also be able to play the title.

Below you can watch a new, quite short trailer for the upcoming game. Apart from the interior of the Council Building, where we will establish new laws for the residents of the ice-bound city, it presents the process of expanding the territory of our metropolis.

Furthermore, you can now place pre-orders for Frostpunk 2 on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games store. The game is available in a standard edition ($44.99) and a more expensive Digital Deluxe edition ($67.49). Here's what's included in the second of these editions:

1. basic game;
2. 7-day access to the beta version of the title (sandbox mode) - these tests will take place in April.
3. three paid expansions that will be released after the premiere;
4. access to story mode 72 hours before the game's release;
5. the digital novella "Warm Flesh," which is a "tempting fragment of the upcoming anthology of Frostpunk books;"
6. digital artbook and soundtrack.

Let us recall that the player's main task as a warden in Frostpunk 2 will be to expand the city in a world affected by the consequences of the Great Storm. We will need to advance new technologies, look after the metropolitan society, and make ethical decisions, mainly concerning the fate of diverse factions competing with each other for the loyalty of citizens.
