Tokyo Xtreme Racer is here. It seems that the game is not free of some technical issues. Some players report problems with crashes and lack of engine sound.
Quite recently we had a chance to play Assetto Corsa Evo for the first time. After some initial issues, the game was finally accepted by players with mostly positive reviews on Steam. If you prefer less simulation and more arcade action though, Tokyo Xtreme Racer is here. It was launched a few hours ago and it already gathers thousands of players. However, as many releases nowadays, it is not free of errors. Some players report a lack of engine sound or fatal error resolving in crashes and inability to run the game.
Technical issues in Tokyo Xtreme Racer
Players are reporting various technical issues that prevent them from playing or enjoying Tokyo Xtreme Racer properly. The most common problems are crashes caused by Fatal errors and lack of car sound. In case of the error, it seems that 3rd party programs or apps are at fault here, like vJoy. So, if you use it, or anything similar, you should disable it at once. In the case of engine audio issues, as of now, there are no solid solutions. Try to reinstall the game or change your sound to stereo, as it helped some players.
Let’s remember that the game was launched in early access. It means that it is not ready. Some issues are expected. Developers from Genki Co.,Ltd. studio are also aware of that and they are probably looking for them as we speak. It is likely that we will see a hotfix soon. Hopefully it will solve at least most technical issues.
Joining early access is always risky, as we do not know how well the game will be optimized. The good thing is that in the case of Tokyo Xtreme Racer, it seems that the issues are not that common (while not completely rare either). We will have to wait a little bit to see how developers will approach them.
