Racing games are often distributed with multiplayer modes. For some franchises, it is so important that they force “always online” approach to enjoy all features of the game, as it is the case with recently released Assetto Corsa Evo. However, Tokyo Xtreme Racer is different. It does not feature multiplayer, at least not now. Will you be able to play with others? Read our article to learn more.

Multiplayer in Tokyo Xtreme Racer Explained

If you want to play a racing game with friends, you should check out already mentioned Assetto Corsa Evo, as Tokyo Xtreme Racer does not feature multiplayer. Some players are shocked by this fact; however, many fans defend this decision.

The truth is that not all games have to be multiplayer. TXR is focused on story and many AI rivals (over 200). So, you should not be bored for a long time even without other people to race. Will it change, though? Will we be able to compete with others?

Developers did not share their readiness to implement multiplayer in the future. It is likely that the game will remain single-player, as early access description does not mention it either. So, refrain from buying this title if it is a big problem for you.
