Thunder Tier One Free Weekend Coming Soon
This weekend will see further testing of Thunder Tier One, a promising tactical shooter developed by veterans of brands like PUBG and Arma.
- Two new multiplayer modes - one PvP and one PvE;
- Another single-player mission;
- Revised versions of two single-player quests from previous testing.
You will soon be able to test Thunder Tier One, a tactical shooter from Krafton, for free. A test called "Gameplay Preview Bravo" will be organized from July 29 to August 1. The number of places is limited, so those interested are advised to quickly head to the game's page on Steam and sign up.
It is worth taking the opportunity to check out the project, because Thunder Tier One is one of the most intriguing upcoming tactical shooters - among other things, because we will observe the action from bird's eye view, which happens rarely in this genre. The roots of the game go back to 2016, when a group of employees of Bohemia Interactive (known for Arma) began to develop it as a private project. However, other commitments forced the suspension of work. Then, in a new company, the developers dealt with, among other things, the creation of PUBG. In 2020, they returned to the old idea and Krafton decided to finance the game.
The first tests of Thunder Tier One took place in December last year. The version that will be released tomorrow is expected to be much more extensive.
We will get a chance to test two new multiplayer modes. In Exfil (PvP) two teams of five players will face each other. One of the groups will try to get out of the battlefield with a package, and the other will have to prevent it. The match will be divided into ten rounds, and after each round the sides will switch roles.
The other new mode is Domination. This is a PvE variant in which a group of four players will have to recapture a series of checkpoints from the AI. After capturing each of them, we will receive a drop with additional supplies.
In the tests we'll also be able to check out a new mission from the single-player campaign, titled Blue Typhoon, in which we'll be dropped into a junkyard designed to be a center of operations of a terrorist group. In addition, two single player maps from earlier testing will return. Compared to the December versions, they will offer many improvements, including more advanced AI and improved gameplay balance.
