The Forever Winter is an upcoming survival horror shooter. You re in the middle of a conflict between two military superpowers… and they are ready for collateral damage. Gigantic war machines kill everything on their path and you want to survive. The game will be released in a few days on PC in early access. What about consoles, though? Let’s see.

The Forever Winter (TFW) – Console (Xbox, PS4, PS5) Release

At this point you should not expect console ports anytime soon, however they are something considered for the future. In their Q&A on YouTube, developers have answered that they would like to release The Forever Winter on consoles, too. Of course, the final decision depends on the success of the game on PC. If everything goes according to plans, creators will port TFW to more platforms. It is unknown which ones; however, we should expect PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Taking into consideration requirements posted on the Steam page of the game, we are rather sure that previous generation will not be among supported devices. So, don’t count on Xbox One and PS4 versions.

Moreover, it is difficult to say when developers will release the game on consoles. In most cases it is after release of 1.0 or at the same time (as a reminder, the game begins early access next week). At the moment of writing this article, developers have not confirmed how long they would like to keep The Forever Winter in EA. So, we can’t estimate the potential release date.
