Playing modern titles on release can be really tiring. Why? Often you have to be prepared to struggle with many technical problems, especially if the game is in early access. Yesterday, The Forever Winter was released. In this co-op survival horror shooter, you fight not only with enemies, but also face the poor performance. Additionally, some players report, that weapon XP is bugged.

Weapon XP Bug in The Forever Winter (TFW)

The Forever Winter seems to have an annoying bug. On Steam Forum and official Discord server, there are posts stating that players do not receive weapon XP. At first glance, it may seem that they have not met the requirements to gain experience. However, some people claim that they don’t gain XP in some guns and in others they level up without issues.

One of the players on Discord suggests that this bug is related to weapons’ attachments. According to this theory, when you use one of them, you will stop receiving XP. Of course, it’s not confirmed yet. However, you can try unequipping all attachments and checking out whether you receive experience after a mission.

Right now, there is no certain fix for this bug. So, you must wait for a patch from Fun Dog Studios, which will resolve this problem.
