Looking at various comments on Steam, we can say that The Forever Winter is not well optimized. It struggles with FPS even on quite good builds. Should we be surprised? Definitely, no. The game is in early access and it just follows the steps of other titles. Some can argue that even games fully released start with poor performance nowadays. So, what can you do? Lower graphics and turn off unnecessary apps. Other than that, you have to wait for developers to temper with TFW.
