Syberia Will Get an Arcane-like TV Adaptation
The iconic adventure game series called Siberia has a chance to reach new audiences. The brand will see an adaptation in the form of an animated series, which is the result of cooperation between Microids and What The Prod.
Microids announced that the iconic adventure game series titled Syberia will live to see an adaptation in the form of an animated TV series. The project will be the fruit of cooperation with the animation studio What The Prod. Below you will find the first information about it.
Siberia TV - first information
- The plot of the series will follow an original story, depicting the adventures of Kate Walker, a young lawyer from New York who travels from Western Europe to Eastern Russia.
- The series will feature characters known from the original, including Kate Walker, Oscar and members of the Yukola tribe, as well as completely new faces.
- Support for the project has been expressed by Martine Sokal, the wife of the late Benoit Sokal, the chief designer of Siberia, and her children Hugo and Jules Sokal.
- And speaking of new audiences - Ashargin Poiré, who heads What The Prod, confirmed that the developers' goal is to develop a series that captures the spirit of the original game, while appealing to new audiences.
- The Microids and What The Prod promise to work closely together to make the adaptation of Siberia "meet the reasonable expectations of fans of the series and fans of animated TV series for young adults (such as Arcane)".
