Invincible is back on Prime Video with season 3. The animated superhero series has been a huge hit on the platform and is popular with viewers. And its fans are certainly curious to know how long they will be able to follow the fate of the characters in the series and what the creators' plan for it is – whether they intend to present the entire story from the comic books, or whether they plan to end it early or stretch it out even further.

Officially, there is no information on how many seasons Invincible will have. For now, season 3 is coming out and it has been confirmed that there will be a season 4. For now, that much is officially known about the future of the production, but what do the creators have to say about it? Do they have any further plans they could share?

One of the series' creators, Robert Kirkman, revealed during an interview with Collider how many seasons they have planned for the show. According to his statement, Invincible will most likely have about eight seasons, but it could also be only seven or even ten.

The way Simon and I have mapped out, where we would kinda follow the comic and where the breaks would be, roughly eight seasons. Could be seven, could be ten.

He made similar statements back in 2023 during an interview with Polygon. At that time, he also indicated that it could be seven to eight seasons.

I think in the seven-to-eight-season range seems like it would be enough. But there could be some things we move through a little faster, some things we expand. If we’re fortunate enough to go for a good long time, I think that would be enough to cover the entire comic.

So if it goes well and Invincible's viewership doesn't drop, fans can probably expect about eight seasons of the series, as that's what the creators' plan has been for quite some time.
