Sons of the Forest unexpectedly received a large update with new content.

Almost a year after the release of version 1.0, Endnight Games studio surprised fans of the "forest" survival game with a new update. Up until now, the team has only provided minor patches and modest hotfixes, and even those ceased to be released in June 2024.

Meanwhile, the new patch includes not only a huge number of fixes, but also a few new features. In Sons of the Forest, rafts known from the first installment of the series have finally appeared, as well as the defensive wall scheme.

Apart from this (and dozens of fixes), the update added support for the game recording feature on Steam.

Players have long lost hope for the return of these constructions in the sequel. In fact, after several months without big updates, fans weren't expecting any further development of the game, particularly because the creators hadn't mentioned any plans for development after leaving Early Access.

Apparently, the devs have been working quietly to pleasantly surprise the players. Which - judging by the reactions on social media - they seem to have achieved. Nonetheless, fans hope that this is not the end and that 2025 will bring even more new features to Sons of the Forest.
