Shadowman Returns in New Game; Big Surprise
Shadowman: Darque Legacy, the first new game in more than two decades featuring the eponymous comic book hero, has been announced.

Blowfish made us a pleasant surprise by announcing Shadowman: Darque Legacy, the first new game based on the license of the eponymous comics published by Valiant in more than twenty years.
- Shadowman: Darque Legacy is coming to PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
- The PC version will be sold on Steam and Epic Games Store.
- No planned release date has been announced as of yet.
- No gameplay footage has been shown either. Only a handful of screenshots and a short teaser were released, which you can watch below:
The main protagonist will be Jack Boniface, the character most often appearing in comic books called Shadowman. This is a different character from Michael LeRoi, whom we have controlled in previous games from the brand.
Shadowman: Darque Legacy will be an action game that will focus on brutal battles and exploration of grim locations. Players will be given the power to switch between the world of the living and the dead, which will prove useful especially when solving puzzles. The gameplay will be varied by light RPG elements, such as the character progression system.
Recall that the first game based on these comics was released in 1999 on PC,PlayStation One, Dremcast and Nintendo 64 - Shadow Man. The sequel, titled Shadow Man: 2econd Coming, was released three years later exclusively on PlayStation 2. In turn, a refreshed version of the first installment was released in 2021, simply called Shadow Man Remastered, which came to PC, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The project was met with a very warm reception - on Steam it has 96% positive reviews.
