Secret Achievement in Baldur's Gate 3 Rekindles Hardcore Gamer Dreams
Baldur's Gate 3 players have come across a mysterious achievement that may indicate that a permadeath mode will soon be added to the hit RPG.
If the highest difficulty level in Baldur's Gate 3 doesn't provide you with a proper dose of excitement, this may soon change. GOG users (via Reddit) have come across a new achievement in the hit RPG, titled Foehammer. From its description, it appears that it is awarded to players who complete the game in Honor mode.
Of course, such mode has not yet been added to Baldur's Gate 3, so based on previous Larian game we can only speculate as to what it might involve.
For those who have not yet had contact with the titles of the Belgian developers, we remind you that a mode with the same name appeared in their previous game - Divinity: Original Sin II. It relies on the fact that players do not have the option of manually saving their progress. The game state is recorded automatically, and if the entire party dies, the game must be started from the beginning.
This type of feature, combined with the already quite difficult Tactical mode, can be quite a challenge even for the most hardcore Baldur's Gate 3 players.
For now, however, we must be patient and hope that the developers will address the issue soon. As we know, they still have their hands full. A few days ago to BG3 received an update introducing more than 1,000 changes and fixes.
