Russia Wants to Ban Games With 'LGBT Propaganda,' Such as Fallout and The Last of Us
There are many indications that Russia has taken aim at another old enemy. This time it's the game market, among others, and specifically games 'promoting LGBT ideology.' The local officials are considering banning such titles in the country.

Recently, Russia has apparently felt a duty to bring salvation to the entire world. After the country's army unlawfully invaded Ukraine in February in the name of "liberating the nation from fascism," the Duma politicians are planning a large-scale anti-LGBT crackdown.
Tightening the law
Admittedly, the crusade against the aforementioned ideology has been going on for many years, but now it is to be stepped up. According to recent reports by BBC, Russian authorities want to extend the ban on spreading 'gay propaganda' to all adults, thereby compounding the 2013 law that says it is illegal to share LGBT information with children. In short: this means that from now on, content that may 'cause minors to want to change their gender' will be banned.
Will the players suffer?
It turns out that this will also have to do with video games. The problem will affect mainly productions that contain or promote LGBTQ elements. The first deputy chairwoman of the State Duma Education Committee, Jana Lantratova, has proposed withdrawing such titles from sale (via Dexerto).
What works can get banned? Well, the list is quite large and includes some of the best titles available on the market. Gazeta.ru has compiled a list - rather incomplete - of productions that will be at risk if the law goes into effect:
- Apex Legends,
- Assassin's Creed,
- Borderlands,
- Divinity: Original Sin 2,
- Dragon Age,
- Fallout,
- Life Is Strange,
- The Last of Us,
- RimWorld,
- Overwatch,
- The Sims 3.
