Risk of Rain 2 With Over One Million Copies Sold
Hopoo Games and Gearbox Publishing boasted excellent results of Risk of Rain 2. The title has sold more than a million units in one month after its release. Let us remind you that the production is available in Steam Early Access service.
Risk of Rain 2, the continuation of the well-established platform game and roguelike hybrid, boasts excellent sales results on Steam. The production debuted on the Valve platform on March 28, this year (in Steam Early Access, where it still remains) and has already sold more than a million copies. In the post published on this occasion, the authors admit that for the first part of the series it took almost 5 years to achieve such a result.
Hopoo Games does not intend to stop supporting and developing a project that is so profitable for them. Developers are planning, among others, to introduce a part of the content from the previous installment of the series into the new part. . Some time ago, the developers have shared a support plan to improve the game in the next few months. According to the document, the producers priority is to create a schedule for game updates so that players may know the frequency of the release of new content and its features. Game translation and localization is also important, as developers want the game to reach the widest possible audience.
Also, a new update is on the way that will introduce unique items and add more bosses. Devs listen the voices of users (often sent via e-mail, Twitter or Discord). Some of the main issues to solve in the support plan are related to bugs or problems reported by the players. This will improve annoying bugs (like the one that resets settings after restarting the game) or unstable ping problem. The entire list of current activities of developers can be found here.
