How to Unlock Chef in Risk of Rain 2 (RoR2) Reformed Altar

Risk of Rain 2 is a game in which we jump on platforms, avoid a large number of traps, and on top of that we fight many types of enemies. To best handle these tasks, it is important to choose a good character, based on their abilities. Heroes are plentiful, and the expansion pack Seekers of the Storm has added more. One of them is Chef, also known from the first installment of the series. Unfortunately, unlocking him is a bit problematic (not as troublesome as using Warped Echo, though). With our guide you will learn how to do it.

Risk of Rain 2 – How to Unlock Chef in Reformed Altar

1. In the first place, you must gather 3 items: Bison Steak, Cautious Slug and Infusion. They can be found in the first and second stages of the map. If you don't stumble upon all of them, don't worry, as you can put them in a special altar next to the Chef location beforehand to save them for later.
2. Look for a green stone, Halcyon Shrine/Pillar, on the first stage. If you don't find it, reset your run.
3. Interact with it. It will start growing powered by your gold (this happens automatically if you stay close to it).
4. At the same time, opponents will attack. After collecting about 200 coins, a mini-boss will spawn.
5. After defeating it, a green portal will appear. Enter it, you will move to a new location called Reformed Altar.
6. Once there, take the throne room located in the center of the location as a reference point. On the left side down from this place you will find a small cave with an open space.
7. Going deeper into the cave, you will notice an altar with 3 slots where you can put the previously mentioned items. Once you do this, you will unlock the Chef character.
