Redfall on PC Takes Up Nearly 100 GB; Preload Now Available
The preload of Redfall from Arkane Studios has launched. Thanks to it, we found out how much the game weighs. The vampire game will take up almost 100 GB on PC and slightly less on Xbox.
We are less than a week away from the the release of of Arkane Studios' latest game - Redfall. The FPS dealing with vampires and their slayers will debut on May 2 on PC and Xbox Series X/S. As it turns out, it will take up a lot of disk space - especially on the former platform.
Redfall - amount of disk space and preload
The premiere version of Redfall should take up:
- 94.3 GB on PC,
- 77.31 GB on Xbox Series X,
- 40.37 GB on Xbox Series S.
Differences in the size of the game depending on the platform are explained by the different availability of graphical assets and "extra features."
For example, the "lightest" version of the game, heading to the Xbox Series S console, does not support 4K textures, which take up a huge amount of disk space. The Xbox Series X, on the other hand, on the day of release will only have a quality mode - 4K with 30fps - which certainly saved some space compared to the PC release, which is full of sliders to personalize the visuals.
Importantly, Redfall is now available for download. Admittedly, the vampiric FPS from Arkane Studios will officially "open the gates" for players on May 2, however, you can already prepare for the launch. It is worth noting that Redfall will debut simultaneously in Xbox and PC Game Pass subscriptions - there, too, you can already pre-install the game.
