Redfall Will Receive Promised Mode in Final Update Labeled 4
Redfall will receive its last update, introducing long-promised improvements to the game and thus crown support for the title. Developers from Arkane Austin studio want to say a worthy goodbye to fans in this way.
Redfall, one of Microsoft's major recent gaming failures, will be getting a "farewell" patch, as announced on X. This comes as a surprise, given the recent shutdown of Arkane Austin studio, leading many to believe that the title had been abandoned, although it was later revealed that work on it had been completed.
The latest update for Redfall, labeled as number 4, is expected to bring various additions to the game, including:
- rebuilt Nest and Neighborhood system;
- pause option in single player mode;
- offline mode.
While this update won't drastically alter the opinion about the game, it serves as a farewell from the devs who sought to honor, at least in part, the commitment made to the community long before the studio's closure. The tweet reflects the finality of the update, as the developers expressed gratitude for the support.
Patch 4 for Redfall, which we will learn more about soon, will essentially mark the end of the game. We already know, however, that this title won't receive the announced expansions. Thus, Bethesda didn't fulfill the (alleged) promise we reported last year.
