Development plan for Dune: Spice Wars
The developers have shared their plans, as it will soon be a year since the game's release in Steam Early Access and many players are wondering what direction the game's development will take. Among the planned new features are:
- Conquest mode acting as a campaign - in which we will choose one of the factions and play a series of scenarios, unlocking numerous upgrades along the way. The whole game will be designed so that it can be played repeatedly without feeling bored. A single playthrough of this gameplay mode is expected to take about 10 hours;
- a series of extensive tutorials - will teach players all the most important mechanics;
- a new playable faction - for now, the developers are not ready to reveal it;
- heroes - we will be able to use them during gameplay.
When will version 1.0 be released?
The developers also addressed how much longer early access period will last. They claim that at this point they have completed about 70% of their plans. Therefore, there is still a lot of work left before them. The developers expect version 1.0 to be released at the end of the year.
Dune: Spice Wars is available exclusively on PC. The game debuted in Early Access on April 26 last year and was warmly received - on Steam 82% of player reviews praise the production, which is categorized as a "very positive" reception. From November last year the title is also available as part of Game Pass.
