PS Plus is Expanding, Sony Will Invest More in Services
PS Plus service has reached 47 million active users. Sony intends to invest even more in the development of its network.

- The number of active subscribers to the PlayStation Plus service continues to grow. Sony boasted of crossing the barrier of 47 million users.
PlayStation Plus is attracting more and more users. Sony, in its latest corporate report, boasted that in its latest fiscal quarter (the period from January 1 to March 30, 2021) the number of subscribers to the network service available on PlayStation consoles has reached 47.6 million.
This means an increase of 6.1 million active users compared to March 2020. This is mainly (if not exclusively) thanks to the pandemic, which had a positive impact on the gaming market. Players spent more time at home, in front of the console and to keep in touch with their peers they used online games.

In the presentation Sony announces the desire for further intensive investment in network infrastructure and development of its services. Proof of this can be seen, e.g. in increasing quality of games, which are have been coming to the service for the last several months. Admittedly, it will be difficult to maintain such a pace of growth, but the Japanese corporation may have an ace up its sleeve.
