An extensive gameplay from Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground, a turn-based strategy from Gasket Games. has appeared on the web. The video lasts over 16 minutes and is accompanied by commentary from two developers - CEO Jeff Lydell and designer Ian Christy.
The video gives a good idea of what the game will offer. First of all, it shows that this is definitely not a card game. Confusion in this matter resulted from the fact that the earlier trailer promised a collection of warriors, and units were shown there in the form of cards. The creators quickly reassured the fans then that it's only a form of presenting the character stats and not an element of the mechanics. The new gameplay confirms these words.
The material enables us to see mainly the turn-based combat system, focusing on battles fought by several units. Much attention was also paid to the extensive selection of special abilities, the proper use of which is to be the key to success. It's worth mentioning that the video shows only one of the three playable factions, which we'll be able to command.
The new gameplay was released just in time, as the release of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground will take place tomorrow. The game will be released simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. PS5 and Xbox Series X/S owners will also be able to play thanks to backward compatibility.
