Prey 2 Possible as Dishonored and Prey Devs Work on New Game
Arkane Studios' Harvey Smith said he wasn't involved in the development of Deathloop. Instead, the co-founder of the Dishonored series is working on a new project with Arkane Austin.
In recent months, Arkane Studios fans have been looking for more information on Deathloop, in which - in a nutshell - we'll be taking part in a very, very long all-day hitman duel. However, a recent article posted by Vandal confirms that this is not the only project of the French team. As part of the network edition of the Fun & Serious Games Festival event in the city of Bilbao, Harvey Smith, one of the creative directors of the Dishonored series, stated that he is working on an unannounced game together with developers from Arkane Austin, who created, among other titles, Prey and Dishonored.
Unfortunately, Smith hasn't said anything more about the project he may have been working on since the he finished Dishonored 2, as he was then to return to Arkane Austin. So we have no clue what this new game could be. Is it a continuation of one of the previous titles or a journey to a completely new world? The first option would probably please the fans, although it's probably not another Dishonored, as there was talk of shelving the franchise and closing the story of known protagonists back in March. More likely is the continuation of Prey from 2017, especially in the context of easter egg from Doom Eternal. Anyway, let's hope that Smith and his team will be willing to share some details. For the time being, we are looking forward to the launch of Deathloop, which will debut on May 21, on PC and PlayStation 5.
