PES 2022 Open Beta and First Gameplay on New Engine

Konami has launched a beta version of a „new soccer game”. Most likely, these are tests of the latest installment of the Pro Evolution Soccer series. Below you can see how the game looks like at this stage.

Open beta of Konami's 'new football game' has launched. The Japanese company did not use the name Pro Evolution Soccer / PES, but it is probably the new installment of the series. The title will use the Unreal Engine 4. Despite the change to a new technology the game is unlikely to look phenomenal. However, Konami must be given credit for the fact that all the animations, scripts and camera settings do not look worse than on the existing engine - Fox Engine, although the whole thing looks quite rough. Konami wants to testthe online features of the game and - as the creators assure - this is not the final vision of the game. Open beta of PES 2022 is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It is not yet known whether Konami will follow the path of Electronic Arts and decide to release a last-gen version of the game for PCs.

To participate in the action, download the appropriate client from the PlayStation Store or Microsoft's online store. The beta will last until July 8.
