New screenshots and info about Cyanide’s Call of Cthulhu
Cyanide’s Call of Cthulhu is an RPG-investigation game, based on the pen-and-paper original. A couple of new screenshots along with first information emerged online.
A couple of screenshots from Call of Cthulhu appeared online along with some new information about the game. We’re talking about the project whose development has been handed down to Cyanide Studios (Styx: Master of Shadows, the Bloodbowl series) by Focus Home Interactive not so long ago. This will be an official video game adaptation of Chaosium's pen-and-paper RPG Call of Cthulhu, first released in 1981. The note from the publisher describes the title as “an RPG-investigation game with psychological horror and stealth elements”. Here’s a word about the story:
“On a mission to find the truth behind the death of an acclaimed artist and her family on a backwater island, the player will soon uncover a more disturbing truth as the Great Dreamer, Cthulhu, prepares its awakening...”

As expected, the player will explore dark, ominous locations that will compose the game’s semi-open world. Although graphics are unlikely to be Call of Cthulhu’s main asset, it is worth pointing out that the title will be powered by Unreal Engine 4.
