Netflix Wants More Games, Gets New Studio
This is the third development studio, and second this year, that Netflix has bought. The mobile game developers at Boss Fight Entertainment ensure that this collaboration benefit the gamers.

Boss Fight Entertainment, an independent developer of mobile games, has been acquired by Netflix. The developers, whose game Dungeon Boss boasts worldwide success, are already the third piece of the Netflix Games gaming puzzle.
As we wrote earlier this month, the VOD giant sees potential in expanding its offer, previously limited to movies and TV series. Three weeks ago we heard about the acquisition of Finnish studio Next Games. This transaction was to cost Netflix about $50 million. This time the financial details were not made public.

The new studio purchased by Netflix has only one title to its credit - Dungeon Boss. It's a fantasy strategy RPG. The player defeats subsequent opponents standing on the way to the eponymous boss. So far, the title has been downloaded 5 million times in Play Store.
“Boss Fight’s mission is to bring simple, beautiful, and fun game experiences to our players wherever they want to play. Netflix’s commitment to offer ad-free games as part of members’ subscriptions enables game developers like us to focus on creating delightful game play without worrying about monetization," Boss Fight Entertainment founders commented on the collaboration.
So far, there are 16 games available in Netflix's mobile app. With two new developer studios under the company's belt, we can expect the catalog to expand regularly in the future.
