Nebulous is an RTS With Battles Straight Out of The Expanse and Launches Today
Today, the space RTS Nebulous: Fleet Command debuts in Steam's early access.
Nebulous: Fleet Command goes on sale on Steam today. However, it will not be a full version of the game - the title by Eridanus Industries will debut in early access for the time being. The launch is scheduled for 8 am PT.
Space battles straight from The Expanse
Nebulous: Fleet Command will offer players what is the most interesting feature in strategy games - the battles themselves. You won't find complicated economy in the game, which will be replaced by a complex combat system. A full description of the game can be found on Steam.
- Difficult decisions will not be made only during battles, but also before them, while working out the most effective plan of action.
- Combat in Nebulous: Fleet Command is based on a system of radars, thanks to which it is possible to detect an approaching enemy and prepare for a clash.
- Skirmishes will be divided into small battles, fought between individual units:
"You won't find grouping and moving units with the right mouse button here. With small, local clashes, we provide exceptional control over each squad and individual units."
- In Nebulous: Fleet Command spaceships don't have health bars - their durability is determined by their armor. Some damage will be repaired by the crew.
- On the game's Discord, the creators revealed the game's price - it will be about $20.
What about the full version?
This question came up so often that the developers decided to address it in the table with information about early access.
- Game Nebulous: Fleet Command will be available in early access for two years. We can expect the launch of the full version only in 2024.
“With a game with so many interlocking systems and mechanics, we plan to use early access to engage our players in the fine-tuning of these mechanics to make sure they offer both challenging and entertaining gameplay. Our growing community has been active on our Discord since the start and has helped shape the game since well before the start of Early Access, and we plan to continue this with an even larger audience as we evolve the game towards full release.”
