Minecraft Player Adds Ingenious Harry Potter-like Spellcasting

One Minecraft player has come up with an interesting idea for introducing spelcasting into the game. Thanks to his solution, you can feel like Harry Potter, casting spells using a wand.

Magic in Minecraft is nothing new - modders have repeatedly vented their creativity, making mods expanding the game with spells of various sorts. However, the idea of a player by the handle Morica is interesting enough to stand out from the rest.

Harry Potter in Minecraft

The player revealed his prototype on Reddit, where the idea quickly gained popularity. The plug-in created by Morica enables us to cast spells by drawing certain shapes in the air.

To draw spells, we will only need a stick with a custom name "Magic Wand". To many, this solution may bring the Harry Potter franchise to mind and it would be quite an apt comparison.

The plug-in gives you access to 8 different patterns, which can be assigned different actions. Anyway, see for yourself:

Spells planned

The player-created tool gives a lot of room for creativity. Spells drawn with the wand can be useful both in PvP duels and in fighting mobs of all kinds.

So far, all the spells are based solely on effects that already exist in the game, such as explosions or flames, but the creator announces that there are plans to expand the range of spells with many novelties (although, as he declares, this will probably not happen within the next few months).

The player's idea has so far received practically only favorable reviews, and players seem keenly interested in this innovation.

If you want to test the plug-in for yourself, it can be found here.
