Minecraft 1.18 Launch in 2021 Not Threatened; New Snapshot and Beta
Mojang has finished adding new content for Minecraft version 1.18 beta, leading us to believe that the release of Caves & Cliffs Update: Part Two wil take place on schedule.
For months, players have been checking out novelties from update 1.18 for Minecraft, a.k.a. the second part of the Caves & Cliffs Update. Mojang reminds us of this with regularly released snapshots for the so-called Java Edition on PC, but testing also continues in Bedrock Edition, which is available, among others, on consoles. This edition has lived to see a new beta version, marked with the number 1.18.0.27, which can be checked out on PC, Xbox One (and XSX/S as part of backward compatibility) and Android mobile devices.

Unlike many previous beta updates, this time the developers have limited themselves to introducing various fixes. The same goes for the Java edition, which recently received the first so-called pre-release - a snapshot preparing the game for the debut of tested novelties. The developers have warned that from now on snapshots will not appear regularly every week, nor should they add new content. For example, Pre-Release 1 only improved the blending of biomes from versions 1.17 and 1.18 to improve transitions between them.
So it looks like the developers have already tested all the new features and work on version 1.18 is nearing completion. In theory, this should be obvious, since Mojang announced the debut of the update for the Christmas period - after all, there is not much time left until. But just think of how often developers are forced to postpone the release of their works, including the creators of Minecraft themselves. After all, we were supposed to get the new features from version 1.18. back in the summer, along with the rest of the content from the Caves & Cliffs Update.
