Embracer Group has announced that Metro Exodus sales have exceeded 6 million copies. It took the game three years to produce this result.
4A Games has reasons to be happy. Sales of Metro Exodus have exceeded 6 million copies. This information was provided by the Embracer Group, which includes Deep Silver, the publisher of the series.
Metro Exodus was released on February 15, 2019, so it took the game three years to cross the threshold of 6 million copies sold.
Initially released only on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the PC release was an Epic Games Store exclusive for the first year after debut. In June last year, versions for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 were released.
Last year the game's Enhanced Edition was released on PC, offering improved textures and ray tracing support, among other features. It was made available as a free upgrade for those who previously purchased Metro Exodus.
According to recent reports 4A Games is currently working on the next installment of the Metro series and a new IP.
