Civil War will soon hit cinemas. A film depicting an alternate reality in which the United States has been divided by war. See a map of the country from this dystopian production.
Alex Garland's new movie – the dystopian Civil War – is set to premiere in cinemas next week. The acclaimed director's new production will show us the fate of a group of journalists who travel across the conflict-divided United States during the Second Civil War. Their goal is to document the struggles of the survivors and show what war is like.
In Civil War, the various states have formed alliances with each other, helping them survive this war that has torn the entire country apart. The multitude of factions shows how divided the United States is in this film. The largest group is The Loyalist States, which are apparently allied with the federal government, while the rest of the groups are opposed to them. An interesting case is the Western Forces, which are a combination of California and Texas. Although they are one alliance, on the map they are divided by The Loyalist States, so they have no direct contact with each other on land.
Below you can see a map of the United States with all the alliances in Civil War.
In addition to Wesern Forces and The Loyalist States, we have two other alliances – the New People's Army, which includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota; and the Florida Alliance, which includes the states: Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida.
This map will certainly help Civil War viewers find their way around and understand what is going on in Alex Garland's new movie, from which we are sure to learn what led to this situation in the country and how the conflict will continue.
