Why walk when you can drive, right? As you progress in Once Human, the vast map will beg to be explored. A trusty vehicle will definitely be a life saver at some point. But how exactly can you get one? Here’s a quick guide on how to build a car and where to find its blueprints.

Once Human – How to Build a Car

To construct a car in Once Human, you must first obtain the necessary structures by investing in 'Building' Memetics to unlock the blueprints. Here's exactly what you need:

  1. Garage
  2. Modification I
  3. Four-Wheeler

After you build Garage from 13 Copper Ingot and 10 Rusted Parts, you can craft a Retro Coupe or an All-terrain Vehicle. Interact with the Garage’s Management panel and press X to see the Vehicle List. Choose which car you want to build, and under the Basic Parts choose which components you want to get, better ones will obviously have more Durability, Speed, Handling and Fuel Tank Capacity.

To build a car you’ll need to provide four basic parts, each requiring different materials:

  1. Frame
  2. Tires
  3. Engine
  4. Oil Tank

You can always add up to four optional elements like a bumper for more protection and durability of your vehicle.

Once you’ve built your dream car, you need to activate it. Head to the Vehicle List in your Garage. Click on your freshly crafted machine and press F to place it on the platform. Exit the Garage and press G to deploy your car on the ground where you can hop in and start exploring.

Now that you can easily travel from one corner of the map to another, you can finally visit the Chalk Peak to claim that Cultist’s Treasure or reach to High Banks to finish the Boy Just Wanna Have Fun quest. With a vehicle, you can also swiftly complete Murmurs in the Forest and stop by the Bunker, if you have the Access Card found in Throughville. Just remember to wash it from time to time!
