In the course of a long (even very long) break between successive installments of the Grand Theft Auto series fans can count only on modders. Especially the ambitious ones, such as the creators of the Las Venturas Project, a modification intended to add to GTA 5 locations from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, with a total area of 70 square kilometers.

The title is an initiative of a group of modders led by Antasurris. He was the originator of the project, which is expected to result in terrain comparable to that of the basic version of the fifth installment The authors call it "the most ambitious GTA mod in history".

The modders plan to add the city of Las Venturas with its surroundings and the Bone County area, but so far a 3-square-kilometer area has been prepared (including The Melasuda Hotel and the famous rock formation El Castillo del Diablo), for now reserved for financial backers of the project on the Patreon. They will receive access to the first demo version in December, and work on the mod will continue throughout 2023.

The full version, meanwhile, will be distributed free of charge. The release date has not yet been set.
