Sony recently tried to convince gamers (once again) that remake of The Last of Us is more than just a visual facelift for a game from almost a decade ago. For now, the company has succeeded in convincing... the competition. Phil Spencer, head of the Xbox brand, praised the team at Naughty Dog for the work put into one aspect of the refreshed The Last of Us - accessibility options.

In a post on Twitter Spencer described the studio's efforts to make games more accessible as "impressive" and "inspiring," which earned him a favorable response from Naughty Dog's official Twitter account.

Phil Spencer has long made a name for himself as an enthusiast for expanding the number of gamers by "making video games more accessible." Suffice it to mention Microsoft's initiative with the telling name "For Everyone". As part of it, the company advertises the "elimination of barriers" that may prevent or hinder the fun in video games. Hence, among other things, the long list of accessibility options in Forza Horizon 5.

The Last of Us: Part I will be released on September 2 on the PlayStation 5 console. The game will also come to PCs, but we don't yet know when that will happen.
