November debut of God of War: Ragnarok was one of the biggest, if not the biggest of the year. As a result, many gamers decided to get their hands on the title to see for themselves where the story of Kratos and Atreus is headed. Nevertheless, there is quite a difference between getting the game, playing it and completing it.
Impressive results
Two weeks have passed since the release of God of War: Ragnarok, it's worth asking how many players have completed Sony's title so far. As we know, the game has a lengthty storyline, enveloped in plenty of side quests and hidden collectibles, so it hasn't been a quick and easy journey. If we look at the statistics available on the PlayStation Network, we will see that the trophy for the clash with Odin (which is the conclusion of the main campaign's storyline) was obtained on both generations of consoles by quite a few players.
God of War: Ragnarok - trophy for the duel with Odin
- PlayStation 4 - 30.2% of players
- PlayStation 5 - 26.7% of players
God of War: Ragnarok - "platinum"
- PlayStation 4 - 2.9% of players
- PlayStation 5 - 4.4% of players
As you can see for yourself, the stat of those who managed to get the platinum trophy (awarded for "maxing out" the game) are already significantly lower compared to completing the title. This is primarily due to the time-consuming exploration of the game. To get a set of trophies, you need to traverse all the kingdoms from A to Z. In addition, there is also a sizable group of people who prefer only to complete the main storyline, without getting into side missions.
At the very end, it is worth recalling the stat associated with the previous installment of the adventures of Kratos and Atreus. The "Last Wish" trophy - indicating how many people have completed God of War from 2018 - was earned by 47.1% of players.
