Genshin Impact Update 1.1; Coming to PS5 With Extras
F2P RPG Genshin Impact is being upgraded to version 1.1, which will include more characters, quests and items, as well as changes to reputation system. Novelties will be introduced in less than two weeks.
It's been only over a month since the official release of Genshin Impact, the free-to-play open-world RPG from miHoYo, which very quickly gained a huge crowd of fans around the world, and the developers have already announced the first major update (marked 1.1). It will be released on November 11 and will introduce four new playable heroes, a season event, and a revised reputation system. You can watch a trailer for the upcoming update below.
The new heroes will include two 5-star characters: Childe and Zhongli. Only the former will be able to change the form of his attacks (from ranged to melee) in combat. Zhongli, on the other hand, will provide high area damage and can also paralyze enemies. Along with them, 4-star Xinyan and Diona will be released but we don't know much about these characters yet.
The game will also include completely new story tasks related to the Liyue region and various NPCs (it's not specified which exactly), additional items (such as a portable cooker or compass), and a two-week "Unreconciled Stars" event, as part of which players will get a chance to win valuable prizes. It has also been announced that the reputation system will be changed a little bit, with the introduction of the update enabling the players to gain it separately for each of the existing cities, and gaining subsequent levels will provide rewards related to the region.
We also learned that Genshin Impact 1.1 will be released on PlayStation 5 when the devices debut on the market. The next-gen version will see improved visuals and shorter loading times. The players will be able to easily move the game progress to PS5 using their MiHoYo account.
As a reminder, Genshin Impact is available for free on PCs, PlayStation 4 and Android/iOS mobile devices. Update 1.1 will go to the players on November 11, this year. There's also another code on the web that enables users to get 160 Primogems for free - GenshinZHB30 (works on all servers). You can reclaim the bonus here.
