Genshin Impact Patch 1.2 Add New Region and Two Characters
Patch 1.2 for Genshin Impact has been released. It's a big update, introducing new region and two additional characters to the game.
- New area,
- Two more characters,
- New monsters, objects and adventures,
- Frost mechanics,
- Bug fixes and gameplay improvements.
Genshin Impact received another major update. Patch 1.2 debuted simultaneously on all hardware platforms, i.e. PC, PS4, iOS and Android.
The update is a big one and it significantly expands the content of Genshin Impact. A new region has been added to the game world in the form of the ice-bound land of Dragonspine, filled with adventures and puzzles. Along with it, a new mechanic has made his debut, which involves spending too long in the cold and following loss of life points. Swimming in icy water or travelling through snow blizzards speeds up the process. Heroes can warm up at heat sources such as bonfires or torches.
Patch 1.2 also introduced two new characters - the female archer Ganyu and swordsman Albedo. In addition, there is an event connected with a secret hidden by the latter. Besides that, the item base was expanded with additional weapons and artifacts.
The update also brings many new adventures, monsters, animals, crafting recipes, raw materials and achievements. A lot of useful changes were also introduced to make the game more fun. For example, there is an option to have private chats with friends, our travels are now saved in the archive, and the host in co-op mode has been given the option to disband the party. In addition, numerous interface and balance improvements have been implemented. There was also a number of technical fixes.
Let's recall that Genshin Impact uses the F2P model. For now, the game can only be played on PC, iOS, Android and PlayStation 4 (and PS5 thanks to backwards compatibility), but developers are also planning a release on Nintendo Switch.
