3 Months Before Release and Final Fantasy XVI Has Already Gone Gold

Nothing is likely to stand in the way of the previously set release date of Final Fantasy XVI. The next installment of the popular series from Square Enix has just gone gold.

Unfortunately, these days, delays of various kinds have become an everyday occurrence for the game industry. Fans impatiently awaiting their favorite games, which often appear on the market with considerable delays, suffer the most. However, it seems that Final Fantasy fans will be excluded from this list.

Square Enix informed via the game's official Twitter profile that the the 16th main installment of the iconic RPG series has gone gold. This means that the developers have already completed work, and the pressing of discs may soon begin.

Of course, it should be noted that the "gilding" of Final Fantasy XVI does not mean that the game will be free of any defects. Nevertheless, the developers will have - if the game actually hits store shelves as planned (let's not forget the casus of Cyberpunk 2077) - as much as three months to prepare a possible release update.

Finally, let's recall that Final Fantasy XVI will debut on June 22. Initially, the title will be available only on the PlayStation 5 consoles, but in the further future it should also come to PCs.
