Exoprimal - Modules Explained
Modules are a part of the progression system in Exoprimal, and an essential part of your build. Check out our guide for everything you need to know about them.
In Exoprimal, the new shooter from Capcom, you team up with other players to fight against swarms of dinosaurs threatening humanity. In battle, characters use Exosuits, weaponized exoskeletons. You can customize your Exosuits with Rigs and Modules to fit your gameplay style better. Creating different builds will allow you to form balanced parties with other players, as well. However, what are modules exactly? Read in to find out.
Exoprimal – Modules Explained
Modules in Exoprimal can be compared to Talents or Skills. Each Exosuit comes with three slots for them, which can be freely changed. There are two basic categories of Modules you can equip:
- Base, which can be used with any suits, unlocked as you gain player ranks,
- Class-specific (Suit and Action), which are unlocked as you level up a given Exosuit.
Both kinds of modules can be levelled up using coins. It is recommended to upgrade general talents to the max level as soon as possible, as they can be used with any armor. Meanwhile, unlocking and upgrading unique Modules for each of your Exosuits will take some time and slow down your progression.
Exoprimal – Base Modules
There are 10 Base modules that can be used with any Exosuit in the game so far. They allow the player to quickly and cheaply increase their potential in battle, as they are universal and available early on. Learning about them is the first step to mastering combat in Exoprimal.
- Crisis Module – increases movement speed when the Exosuit drops below a certain health percentage,
- Impact Reduction Module – lowers the damage and knockback received from dinosaurs,
- Recovery Module – regenerates health after not getting hit for a certain amount of time,
- Hi-Xol Compression Module – makes the Overdrive Gauge charge faster,
- Durability Module – increases health immediately,
- Crafter’s Module – raises the durability of crafted walls and platforms, and gives chance to recover craft chips once they are destroyed,
- System Repair Module – shortens the duration of debuffs placed on the character,
- Regeneration Module – reduces the time until automatic health regeneration starts,
- Reload Efficiency Module – reduces reload and recharge times for Exosuits,
- Rig Loading Module – makes the Rig cooldown time shorter.
You can experiment with various combinations while keeping your role on the team in mind. For example, supports might benefit from Crafter’s Module more. Meanwhile, a tank Exosuit like Murasame should choose the Impact Reduction Module. Some talents, such as Reload Efficiency or System Repair are useful on any class.
