STALKER 2 gets patch after patch. Devs revealed the first details of the next update

The next patch for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will not introduce New Game Plus mode, but at least it will allow players to use weapon upgrades previously reserved for the endgame.

Players are still waiting for the announced full development plans for the game, but GSC Game World studio will soon release another update for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl following the major patch 1.3.

The Ukrainian developer has already confirmed what game fans can expect from the next update (via Discord / VideoGamer). Some weapon upgrades will now be accessible before the end game stage, found in the Prypiat Stashes. In other words, they will be available throughout almost the entire game, not just after crossing the "point of no return" and in the endgame.

The worse news is that this information was a response to questions about New Game Plus. Some players are still hoping for the addition of this feature, but so far, the developers have at best been evasive in response to their requests. Certain Zone fans argue that starting the adventure with full equipment doesn't fit the concept of the game, in which the player has to "earn" everything (including endings).

Perhaps the New Game Plus mode will someday make it to the second STALKER, it might even be announced on the upcoming roadmap of the sequel. However, for now, fans must settle for just this one confirmed change.
