EVE Anywhere Lets You Play Eve Online in Browser
The team at CCP Games launched the beta of EVE Anywhere, a streaming service that lets you play EVE Online in the browser.
CCP Games launched beta tests of EVE Anywhere, a project enabling us play the space MMO EVE Online in the browser. In order to do this, streaming technology was used, similar to e.g. Google Stadia or GeForce Now, which is to allow for gameplay at 1080p and 60 fos, regardless of the power of our hardware.
List of supported browsers includes Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari. For now, only players from the United States can take part in the game. The first tests were organized some time ago, also in the U.S., but only selected people were invited to them at the time. This time it has been expanded to all interested from this country who pay for the Omega subscription. The rest of users must wait for an invitation from the developers.
For now, it's not known when EVE Anywhere will be made available to players from other countries. We also don't know if the full version will require additional fees.
CCP Games wants EVE Anywhere to be not only an additional option for the veterans, but also to make it easier for newcomers to start the adventure with the game. The project seems to fulfill the latter task quite well. Developers informed that in tests conducted so far they noticed that thanks to this service rookies stay in EVE Online longer and more often decide to become full-fledged pilots, permanently joining the community.
