General information about heroes in Dungeon of the Endless
In this game, players can choose from 28 available characters. Each of the heroes has different skills and, consequently, weaknesses and strengths. Admittedly, you won't get all the heroes at once, at the very beginning you will have only four to choose from. You will unlock the rest when you find them in the game world and recruit them, or purchase the appropriate DLC.

The S tier includes the best characters, who stand out positively from others, while the D tier includes characters below average, who would need strengthening to become useful. The order in which the heroes are arranged in a given tier is random and does not really matter.
The tier list of characters may change in the future, it all really depends on whether the developers decide to strengthen or weaken a particular character or skill.
