Tips for getting started in Dungeon of the Endless
When you choose two characters at the very beginning of the game and find yourself on a ship, you will start your adventure in a cramped room. Before you embark on your journey, familiarize yourself with some basic tips:
- Don't take the crystal from the first room right away: it will be a much better idea to take it the moment you find out where the exit is.
- Stop the game at critical moments: this title has an option to pause the gameplay (by default under the spacebar). If your character is injured and low on health, or you want to use a skill, it's a good idea to click pause and perform the intended action in peace.
- Wait with opening the door: mainly because after opening them, a new turn will start. This means that enemies may appear from darkened rooms.
- You don't have to explore every room to complete a level: there is a chance that some of them will be dead ends. Also, in case your characters are badly injured, it will be a good idea to go straight to the exit, if you have already found it, of course.
- Construct modules: with these objects you will gain additional resources or strategically increase your chances of survival.
- For every 10 dust you have, you can illuminate one of the rooms: this is very useful, as enemies can appear in areas devoid of any light or in newly discovered areas.
Advanced tips and tricks for Dungeon of the Endless
There are also some tricks and tactics that are not so obvious at first. However, it is worthwhile to become familiar with them, as they significantly facilitate the gameplay:
- Illuminate rooms close to modules that are far away from you: This is important because enemies can appear in darkened corridors and easily destroy built objects. Chances are that by the time you reach the place, they will have long been destroyed.
- Drag opponents to other rooms: this is a good tactic, because then you won't be fighting all of them at once.
- Build towers and modules for fighting: it is worth following this advice especially if you have not found better equipment for your characters. Later opponents will become much more difficult to defeat, so using any help will make fighting them much easier.
- Bigger rooms mean bigger problems: keep in mind that when you open the door and notice that the room is very large, the chance of encountering a large number of enemies there will be high.
