Door Kickers 2: Task Force North hit Early Access on Steam back in 2020. As the sequel to the original Door Kickers, it naturally drew in fans of the first game. But its popularity really took off with its full release on February 10, 2025. Now, it's pulling in almost 5,000 players every day, all hooked on its challenging but absolutely addictive gameplay. So, if you’re into games like Shadow Tactics Blades of the Shogun or Jagged Alliance 3, definitely give Door Kickers 2 a shot, especially now that some unexpected audio issues have been fixed.

Door Kicker 2 will never hurt your ears again

People are hooked on the tough yet highly addictive gameplay of Door Kickers 2. The freedom to tackle missions in different ways, combined with the need for solid tactical planning, keeps things fresh. It’s challenging, no doubt, but that just makes every successful operation even more satisfying. On top of that, the game offers co-op and multiplayer, letting us team up for even more strategic action. But even if the gameplay is nearly perfect, there’s always something that needs fixing.

Patch v1.02 brought a solid mix of bug fixes, balance tweaks, and quality-of-life improvements. But the most needed change was definitely the audio issues. Some ‘annoying ambient sounds’ now play less frequently and at a lower volume, but most importantly, they finally patched the owl sound blasting at 7000% volume – no more sudden eardrum-shattering hoots could even loop for several seconds.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
