Diablo II: Resurrected Open Beta Launched Today
Diablo II: Resurrected open beta begins today. All players who own supported platforms will be able to participate in the tests.
Another stage of beta testing of Diablo II: Resurrected from Blizzard Entertainment has just started. This time the access is open, and anyone with supported platforms can take part in the tests. We are talking about PCs, PlayStation 4|5 Xbox One and Series X|S. Players could download the game from August 17 on consoles and August 18 on PC. However, the testing will last until August 23. More information can be found in the FAQ section on Blizzard's website.
It's worth mentioning that during the previous weekend of "early access beta" Blizzard rewarded viewers of Twitch with access to the tests. In order to receive the key it was enough to watch at least 2.5 hours of any live broadcast from Diablo II: Resurrected (as part of Twitch Drops).
What's more, the creators shared the information on their forums in connection with the negative reaction of the community to the lack of seasonal games, the so-called "ladders" on the day of release. As explained in the message - all dedicated in-game ladder items, i.e. runic signs, uniques and Horadric cube recipes will now be available in single player and multiplayer modes that did not support the ladder module.
This means more or less that people playing solo can also use the meta popularized by multiplayer ladder rankings. Apart from that, single player modes will now include access to Pandemonium events and Uber Diablo content. It is worth mentioning that the developers will announce the start of ladder season next month.
