Diablo 4 is a hack'n'slash game in which you eliminate dozens of enemies by choosing one of several available characters. It is the latest installment in the popular Diablo series, which has seen its first thematic season called Season of Blood. One of the biggest attractions of season 2 are the newly introduced end-game bosses. One of them is Echo of Varshan, which is located in Malignant Burrow. Our guide explains where this location is, and how to activate the Malignant Altar used to summon the boss.
How to find Malignant Burrow in Diablo 4?
Malignant Burrow is located not far from the Tree of Whispers in the north-east of Hawezar. In order for the tree to become active, you must complete all the main missions. This will give you the Whispers of the Dead quest. On the map, the Tree of Whispers will be marked with the icon of a red tree with a white skull at the very top.
How to summon Echo of Varshan in Diablo 4?
Echo of Varshan is an end-game boss that is located in Malignant Burrow. To summon it, you will first need to collect key materials. If you are playing on World Tier 3, the components needed are:
- Gurgling Head,
- Blackened Femur,
- Trembling Hand.
You will obtain them when you are in possession of Whisper Caches. To get them, however, you must offer 10 Grim Favors to the Tree of Whispers. This is a special currency that you will receive for completing various event missions. It is not the only source of body parts though. Grotesque debtors can also drop them.
On the other hand, if you want to fight Echo of Varshan from World Tier 4, in addition to the previously mentioned materials, you'll need to put in Malignant Heart, which you'll also get from Whisper Caches.
When you have all the necessary components, go to Malignant Burrow, and at the very end of the Tunnel you will find Malignant Altar. Interact with it. Having everything you need, click the Summon button. Then the boss fight will begin.
