Diablo 3 Development Concludes; Final Season With New Content Inbound
Blizzard intends to bid a dignified farewell to Diablo 3. The 29th season, the last with new content, will bring a slew of changes that the players have been asking for for a long time, including a mode inspired by solutions from Path of Exile.
Currently, all Blizzard fan eyes are on Diablo IV, but the team has plans for another major update with new content for the third installment. The studio's official website published an article, describing details about season 29 of Diablo III. With its release the game's development will come to an end. In the future, the game will receive more seasons, but they will only be repetitions of the earlier ones.
- One of the most important novelties will be the Solo Self Found mode, inspired by a mode from Path of Exile. This is a variant of single-player gameplay, which will lack the option of forming parties and trading with other users. Thus, everything will have to be acquired on your own. Solo Self Found will get its own leaderboards and is expected to have a "hardcore" variant in addition to the standard version.
- The main theme of the season will be the so-called Visions of Enmity. Magical rifts will begin to appear in the game world, where we will find dangerous monsters and valuable loot.
- Blizzard wants to leave Diablo 3 in the best possible condition, so season 29 will also bring a ton of mechanics and balance changes requested by the community.
- Players will be able to assign a total of 800 master points (so-called "receipts") to their characters. Previously, it was possible to assign only 50 such points to each attribute, and after the changes it will be possible to assign 200 to each attribute.
- There will also be numerous bug fixes.
You will be able to check all these changes on the test servers between August 15 and 29. The premiere of season 29 is expected on September 8 or 15.
